My paintings are colorful, poetic, and layered, balancing between figurative and abstract. Light and space form the core; through painting I seek a connection with place, time, and experience. For me, space is an animated presence where memory, desire, and corporeality converge. In Ode à la douce France, arcadian landscapes offer comfort. The human figures in the series Desire move within an exotic stage of dreams and longings. Shelter, inspired by Burkina Faso, explores our bond with nature. In Sketchbook Heritage, heritage from world cultures is given new life through an interplay of drawing and collage.
I paint to feel the openness of life itself—a rhythmic dynamic between the physical, the spiritual, and the timeless. You are warmly invited to discover what resonates within you!

Welcome to my colorful collection of drawings and paintings. My layered work is poetic and narrative in nature. The balance between the visual and the abstract is an exiting aim. My works reflect the deciding, the sparkling, shining moment that reveals the true essence of the situation. The silence is too experienced in the prayer rooms in Amsterdam and the Amsterdam forest. My drawings about the city line show an exciting urban decor In the book ‘ encounters beyond Alzheimer’s ‘, ink drawings show the real encountering of each other beyond the disease. Texts and images from the (art) history and literature inspired my imagination to a new vision. With the HR values that are important in my work, like brightness, transparency and coherence, I love to show my oeuvre build up during more then 40 years.
